This Fall KTKI members can schedule a Skype call with Kids to Kids International. We had our first Skype call with a school Avoca West Elementary School in Glenview, Illinois and it was a wonderful success. Meet and talk to KTKI online without having to leave your school. We will talk about how and why KTKI was started, where we send the picture books and educational supplies we receive, why KTKI is so important, and answer students questions live. Lost Boy Finds Home with Kids to Kids International
Lost boy Gabriel Deng met Pat while he was living in a refugee camp in Kenya in 1988. In 2000, Deng was given the opportunity to come to America and now is a professor at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He recently visited Yorktown High School to speak to the Amnesty International Club about his life. Pat was able to reunite with Deng and show him the KTKI office!
